Gerber South Campsite

Gerber South Campsite is a primitive BLM-managed campground located at Gerber Reservoir near Bonanza, Oregon, at an elevation of 4,800 feet. The campground features 50 gravel sites with picnic tables, fire rings, and tent pads. Amenities include vault toilets (ADA accessible), seasonal potable water from hand pumps, and an RV dump station. No electrical, water, or sewer hookups are available at individual sites. The campground operates year-round on a first-come, first-serve basis with no reservations. During peak season (mid-May to mid-September), a small fee applies and services including trash collection and a camp host are provided. During off-season, camping is free but amenities are limited. Maximum vehicle length is 30 feet. Pets are welcome but must remain leashed. The reservoir offers 17 miles of shoreline with boat ramps, fishing, and boating opportunities.
