Gerber South Campsite
About this site
Gerber South Campsite is a developed BLM campground on Gerber Reservoir in southern Oregon, situated at 4,800 feet elevation. The campground features approximately 25 gravel sites with picnic tables, fire rings, and tent pads. Amenities include vault toilets, seasonal potable water from hand pumps, and a boat ramp for lake access. No electrical, water, or sewer hookups are available at individual sites. The campground is first-come, first-served with a 14-day maximum stay. Services including drinking water, trash collection, and a camp host are available mid-May through mid-September; during off-season (October 1 through mid-May), camping is free but no amenities are provided. Pets are welcome but must remain leashed. Nearby activities include fishing, boating, hiking in Fremont-Winema National Forest, and wildlife observation.
