Gerber South Campsite
About this site
Gerber South Campsite is a primitive BLM-managed campground located on Gerber Reservoir, approximately 42 miles east of Klamath Falls, Oregon. The campground features 25 individual sites (part of 50 total sites shared with Gerber North) with picnic tables, fire pits, and tent pads. Facilities include vault toilets (ADA accessible during peak season), RV dump station, and boat ramps. The site is open year-round on a first-come, first-served basis. During peak season (mid-May to mid-September), a campground host is on duty and trash collection is provided. During off-season, amenities are limited and camping is free. Pets are permitted but must remain leashed. The recreation area offers fishing, boating, hiking, horseback riding, and OHV activities in surrounding backcountry. Additional Info: As of May 2026, potable water is temporarily unavailable due to well maintenance (estimated completion late July 2026). Fees are temporarily reduced to $4.00 per night during this period.
