Garey Lake State Forest Campground
About this site
Rustic state forest campground on the shores of Garey Lake with 12-13 campsites. This charming campground was once an apple orchard and offers a peaceful escape for tent camping and equestrian use. Amenities include vault toilets, potable water from a hand-pump well, and a boat launch for fishing and paddling. The campground provides direct access to the western spur of the Shore-to-Shore Trail (420-mile trail system for hiking and horseback riding) and is close to the Lake Ann Pathway. Nearby attractions include Glen Lake (6 miles north) and Pearl Lake (0.5 miles southeast). Garey Lake contains perch, pike, and bluegill. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations. Maximum 15-day stay limit. One camping unit and six people allowed per site. Open year-round. Pet-friendly. Recreation Passport required for vehicle entry.
