Campsites are available at Myrtle Lake, accessible via Trail #286 which is approximately 4.5 miles long with 1,700 feet elevation gain. The trail passes through varied terrain including heavy timber, open-side hills, rock knolls, and ridge tops, leading to one of the largest high mountain lakes in Boundary County with good fishing. The trailhead is reached via high clearance road FR 2406 and begins on private land.
