FR 9350 Campground
About this site
Forest Road 9350 Campground is a heavily-used dispersed camping area situated along the spectacular Mogollon Rim in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. Open seasonally, first-come first-served with no fee. Inaccessible in winter after the first measurable snowfall. Despite being classified as dispersed, the area features designated numbered campsites equipped with picnic tables and fire pits. Located at approximately 7,200 feet elevation, the campground offers dramatic rim-side sites with breathtaking views across the escarpment. A vault toilet is available at the entrance near the Carr Lake Trailhead, though no potable water is provided. The campground's popularity stems from its free first-come, first-served access, spectacular views, and proximity to several trails including the Carr Lake Trail, General Crook Trail, and Drew Canyon Trail. The area accommodates tents, trailers, and RVs, with ample space between campsites despite heavy use. Winter access is limited, as the road becomes inaccessible after the first measurable snowfall. Due to its location directly adjacent to Rim escarpment, this campground is not recommended for families with small children.
