About this site
This is a designated dispersed camping area. Camping allowed only within designated, numbered sites. When the forest is in fire restrictions NO FIRES are allowed at this location. This camp area is fee free and as such it is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out area. Be a good steward of your public lands and help us keep this area FREE by packing out everything your bring in with you. This camping area is located immediately adjacent to the Mogollon Rim Escarpment and several campsites are bordered by a 300+ ' vertical drop. This area is not recommended for families with young children or people who are uneasy with heights. Additional Info: This heavily-used dispersed camping area is situated along the Mogollon Rim in Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest at approximately 7,200 feet elevation. It features around 40 designated numbered campsites with picnic tables and fire pits. Campers must stay within 50 feet of designated sites. The first mile of FR 9350 is suitable for RVs and trailers (big rig friendly), while the last mile is rougher and better for passenger vehicles (high clearance recommended). Open seasonally; inaccessible in winter after first measurable snowfall. 14-day camping limit.
