About this site
Designated dispersed camping site along FR 62 Upper Hyalite Creek Road in Hyalite Recreation Area, Custer Gallatin National Forest. Camping is allowed only in developed campgrounds or at designated and signed campsites. The Hyalite drainage restricts camping to these signed sites with no dispersed camping elsewhere along the road or creek corridor. Campfires must be contained in permanent metal fire rings at established campsites. Additional Info: Open year-round on first-come, first-served basis when road is accessible. Hyalite Canyon Road closed to motorized vehicles April 1 through May 15.
