Designated free dispersed campsite (036B) along Forest Road 62 / Upper Hyalite Creek Road in Hyalite Canyon, Custer Gallatin National Forest. First-come, first-served with 14-day limit. Part of the Hyalite Recreation Area where camping is allowed only at signed designated sites. Fires must be contained in permanent metal fire rings. No potable water or restrooms available at dispersed sites. Additional Info: Access via Hyalite Canyon Road (FR 62) south from Bozeman. Nearby developed campgrounds include Hood Creek. Area popular for hiking, fishing, climbing, and reservoir activities.
