Fourchette Bay Campground
About this site
Fourchette Camping Area is located on the north side of Fort Peck Lake, south of Malta, Montana. Open all year, interpretive signage, enjoy boating, fishing and wildlife viewing at this primitive campground. Amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, shade shelter and a boat ramp. Take extra food for 3 days in case you get stranded. Additional Info: Located along the shores of Fort Peck Lake with excellent dark-sky stargazing (Class-1 Bortle Scale rating). Access via rough roads that may become impassable when wet; last 20 miles challenging. Managed by US Army Corps of Engineers.
