Fort Frederick State Park Campground

Fort Frederick State Park Campground offers 29 campsites with stone dust pads, picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern posts. The campground is situated along the Potomac River, providing opportunities for fishing, boating, and hiking. Tent camping is available from the first Saturday in May to the first Sunday in November; self-contained camping units may camp year-round. Portable toilets are available May through November, with flush toilets and rinse-off stations at a nearby comfort station. Potable water and a dump station are located near the railroad tracks, approximately 0.6 miles from the campground. No hookups are available. Maximum RV length is 50 feet. The park features the restored Fort Frederick, a historic site dating to the French and Indian War, with military reenactments and living history programming. Access to the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park is also available.
