Backcountry campsite #12 on Gregory Ridge Trail, 2 miles from trailhead in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Capacity: 12. The site is barely more than a wide place in the trail with the fire ring about 15 feet off the trail. Highly visible with moderate to high impact. Two main camping areas with fire rings; upper area is less impacted with better draining tent sites suitable for tarps. Ample water available from Forge Creek approximately 100 yards away. Bear cables present. No evidence of privy activity nearby.
