Fish Creek Saddle

Fish Creek Saddle is a backcountry campsite at 9,900 feet elevation on the Fish Creek Trail (1W07.4) in the San Gorgonio Wilderness of San Bernardino National Forest. It is located 3.3 miles from Fish Creek Trail Camp, with no water available at the site. Water can be obtained from nearby Lodgepole Spring (down a trace trail), Dry Lake, or packed up from Fish Creek. From here, it is 0.9 miles to Mineshaft Saddle where the trail meets the Sky High Trail. This is a wilderness area requiring a permit for overnight camping. No campfires are allowed; portable gas stoves only. Camp on durable surfaces at least 100 feet from trails and water. Additional Info: - Group size limited to 12 people and 8 pack/riding animals. - Dogs must be leashed (max 6 feet). - Practice Leave No Trace principles.
