Fish Creek Pond Campground
About this site
Considered the finest and most attractive of all the Adirondack campgrounds, Fish Creek Pond Campground offers a natural sand shoreline and water access for most campsites. Pristine rivers and ponds are accessible to both motorized and non-motorized boats. In addition to exceptional boating, the campground offers a variety of other recreational opportunities, including the well-regarded Interpreter Activity Program, canoeing, fishing, hiking, and bicycling. From the end of June to Labor Day, an organized recreation activity program is offered daily at the Amphitheater, and includes nature hikes, crafts, games, and live entertainment. Various canoe routes and boating opportunities exist; the waters are popular parts of the Adirondack canoe routes. Major species in Fish Creek, Square, and Rollins Ponds are black bass, northern pike, and pan fish. The campground operates from early April through October with 355 sites. The shallow shoreline provides easy access for kayaks, canoes, and swimming, with sandy bottom conditions. Sites vary considerably in size and privacy, with waterfront spots offering expansive space. Rangers enforce 10 PM quiet hours.
