First Landing State Park is Virginia's most-visited state park, located on the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach. The park spans 2,888 acres and features over 200 campsites, climate-controlled cabins, and 19 miles of trails. Campsites accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs up to 50 feet, with 108 sites offering water and electric hookups. Amenities include hot showers, flush toilets, dump station, camp store, laundry facilities, playground, picnic areas, and firewood for sale. The park offers boating, swimming, nature and history programs, hiking, biking, and boat launch access. Originally built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, the park was renamed in 1997 from Seashore State Park to reflect its heritage as the landing site of the Virginia Company members who later settled Jamestown.
