Fairy Lake Campground
About this site
A 9-site campground in the Bridger Mountains on the Bozeman Ranger District of Custer Gallatin National Forest. Located 22.5 miles north of Bozeman on MT 86, then 5 miles west on Fairy Lake Road (steep gravel). Road is slippery when wet and not suitable for RVs or towed units; high clearance vehicle recommended. Open June 16 to December 1 (weather dependent). Free, first-come, first-served. Amenities include vault toilets, potable water (summer only), picnic tables, and fire rings. No trash pickup. Fishing and wildlife viewing opportunities available. A trail from the campground leads to Fairy Lake.
