Fairy Lake Campground

Fairy Lake Campground is a small, first-come first-served campground with 9 sites in Custer Gallatin National Forest at 7,500-7,680 feet elevation. Accessible via a steep 5-mile gravel road (Fairy Lake Road/FR74) from MT-86 north of Bozeman; high-clearance vehicle recommended, not suitable for RVs or trailers. Offers vault toilets, hand-pumped drinking water (seasonal), picnic tables, and fire rings. Pack-in pack-out; no trash service or firewood. 16-day limit. Near Fairy Lake for fishing (Yellowstone Cutthroat trout) and hiking to Sacajawea Peak. Typically open mid-June to early December, weather dependent.
