Shelter and tent area located on the Long Trail in Breadloaf Wilderness. Additional Info: Adirondack-style open-front shelter built in 1960, rebuilt in 1983 and 2002, accommodates 6-8 people. Accessed via 3.7-mile Emily Proctor Trail hike from trailhead on Forest Roads 59, 54, and 201. Composting toilet available. Water from nearby sources must be filtered or treated. Limited tent space at site. Open year-round, first-come first-served, no fees. Trailhead roads closed December 15 to May 1.
