Emigrant Campground
About this site
Emigrant Group Campground is located above the shoreline of Stampede Reservoir within the Tahoe National Forest, about 30 minutes from Truckee, California. The campground offers four group sites: Woodsman and Prospector each accommodate up to 50 people, while Rancher and Trapper accommodate up to 25 people. Each group site has a central cooking and picnic area equipped with a campfire circle, approximately six tables and four grills. Horseshoe pits are located at the Woodsman site. Sites have filtered views of the reservoir. Accessible vault toilets and drinking water are available. Firewood is available from nearby Logger Campground hosts. All sites are within walking distance to the reservoir. Roads within the campground are paved. A boat ramp is within one mile of group sites with trailer parking available. A dump station is approximately half mile west of the campground.
