Emerson Bay State Recreation Area Campground is one of Iowa's most popular campgrounds, located on the southwest shore of West Lake Okoboji. It features 83 well-shaded sites with paved roads, including 58 electric-only sites and 24 full hookup sites, all with 50-amp service. Amenities include modern restrooms and showers, dump station, playground, and nearby boat ramps and beach. Additional Info: The campground operates seasonally: closed January 1 - March 31 and November 1 - December 31; 100% reservable April 1 - October 31. All sites have electric hookups; some have water and sewer. Pets allowed on leash.
