Emerald Lake Campground
About this site
Emerald Lake Campground is located in the West Rosebud drainage and is nestled in the trees between Emerald Lake and West Rosebud Lake in the Custer Gallatin National Forest. The campground has 32 campsites and is managed on a first-come, first-served basis. It is very popular and may fill up on weekends and holidays during summer months. Maximum trailer length is 30 feet. The campground is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day with full service, and offers reduced services in shoulder season. There is a 16-day maximum stay limit. Some sites are equipped with bear-resistant food storage lockers. Facilities include vault toilets, drinking water, picnic tables, and campfire rings. A centrally located bear-resistant dumpster is provided. Firewood is not available; visitors are advised to obtain firewood near their destination. The campground is located 34 miles west of Red Lodge on Highways 78 and 419, and 19 miles south of Fishtail, Montana on West Rosebud Road. Additional Info: Nightly fee: $15 per site; $5 per additional vehicle. Half-price fees available with Interagency Senior or Access Pass.
