Elks Picnic Group Campground
About this site
Elks Picnic Group Campground is a six-acre fenced group facility in Coconino National Forest at 6,500 feet elevation. This campground was designed and constructed by the Winslow Elks Lodge and donated to the Mogollon Rim Ranger District. The site can accommodate up to 300 people and 50 vehicles. Facilities include picnic tables, a large communal fire ring, horseshoe court, volleyball poles, a small swing set, flagpole, covered pavilion, vault toilets, and a 250-gallon water tank. Trash collection is provided. For groups larger than 50 people, supplemental toilet facilities (port-a-pots or self-contained trailers) must be provided by the group. There are no utility hookups, showers, or pets allowed. The campground is located west of Arizona State Route 87 (milepost 309.9), approximately 30 miles southwest of Winslow and 60 miles northeast of Payson. Reservations are available through Recreation.gov. The campground typically operates mid-April to late October.
