Upper Eightmile Campground is near Forest Road 44. ; This campground is close to the 44 Trail System which is a popular multi-use trail system. Campers have access to Eightmile Loop Trail #496 from the campground. ; The ~ 6-mile loop is a popular hiking and mountain biking loop. Additional Info: Eightmile Campground is a first-come, first-served campground with 19 large campsites set along Eightmile Creek in a secluded area of Mt. Hood National Forest. The campground features vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings at each site. No potable water is available. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs up to 30 feet in length. The campground is open late May through mid-October and is located at approximately 3,800 feet elevation.
