Edson Creek Campground
About this site
Edson Creek Campground features open meadow style camping located near a beautiful meandering creek that flows into the Sixes River. The campground is located at the confluence of Edson Creek and Sixes River, offering a popular swimming and fishing spot. Tall alder trees mixed with myrtle, big-leaf maple and Oregon ash flank the open meadows. The campground provides 27 campsites and 5 group sites. All five of the group sites are reservable. Four of the group sites (B-E) are located across the creek from the main campground via a seasonal bridge. Group site A is near the main campground. Campsites 20-24 are designated as accessible. A boat launch is located across the road from Edson Creek Campground in the day-use area. The campground is open from Memorial Day until the end of September. The access road is well paved; however, roads around the campground are naturally surfaced and can be affected by wet weather. Additional Info: Poison oak is common in the region. Fishing opportunities include steelhead trout in winter and Pacific salmon later in the year.
