Echo Bay Lower Campground

Echo Bay Lower Campground is located in the northern end of Lake Mead National Recreation Area along the Overton Arm of Lake Mead, near Overton, Nevada. The lower campground has 34 campsites on paved roads with asphalt sites that accommodate both tents and RVs. Each campsite provides space for up to eight people with one camping unit and includes a table, fire ring, and grill. The campground features multiple water spigots and restrooms with sinks and toilets throughout (no showers). An RV dump station and water refill station are located near the entrance to Echo Bay Upper Campground. The area is popular for boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and wildlife viewing. A boat launch, small picnic area, and camp store are available in the developed area. The campground is open year-round and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Temperatures typically exceed 100°F (37°C) from June through August. Echo Bay is remote, making it an ideal location for viewing night skies. Wildlife in the area includes many species of birds, lizards, antelope squirrels, and occasional coyotes.
