East Shore Recreation Site
About this site
East Shore Recreation Site is a small BLM campground situated on the eastern shore of Loon Lake in Oregon's Coast Mountain Range. The campground features 6 shady campsites, including one universally accessible site, set among towering Douglas fir, western hemlock, and western red cedar trees. All sites include barbecue grills, fire pits, and tables. Vault toilets are provided but campers must bring their own water. A small day use area with lake access and 2 picnic sites is located across the road from the campground. East Shore campers can use this day use area without paying an additional fee. Loon Lake is a 260-acre lake that is 2 miles long and 190 feet deep, offering excellent opportunities for swimming, fishing, and boating. The campground is open Memorial Day until November 30. All campsites are available on a first come, first serve basis.
