East Meadow Backcountry Campsite
About this site
East Meadow Backcountry Campsite is a single hike-in site located on the East Inlet Trail in Rocky Mountain National Park, approximately 1.5 miles from the East Inlet Trailhead. The site sits at 8,550 feet in a heavily wooded pine forest on the south side of the trail, marked by a wood sign and red arrowheads on trees. East Meadows montane meadow sprawls along the bottomland nearby. Water is available from East Inlet Creek (must be boiled or treated before use). No privy is available; pack out waste using wag bags. The site is typically snow-free by May 22 and is recommended for use May through September. Watch for moose and elk in the evening.
