About this site
East Fork Designated Dispersed camping area is located along the scenic East Fork of the Sevier River corridor and FS Road 087 on the Powell Ranger District of Dixie National Forest. The area features 10 numbered, designated dispersed camping sites that provide free primitive camping in a beautiful ponderosa pine forest setting near Tropic Reservoir. Sites 1, 7, 8, 9, and 10 are designed for single camping units, while sites 2 through 6 can accommodate multiple units, making them suitable for larger groups. This designated dispersed camping area was established under Forest Order 0407-21-12 to protect soil, water, and vegetative resources while providing organized recreation opportunities. Winter access may be limited by snow conditions on FS Road 087.
