East Fork Blacktail Deer Creek WSA
About this site
Small campground at the end of the road in the East Fork Blacktail Deer Creek Wilderness Study Area (WSA), managed by BLM. Located 38.5-44.8 miles southeast of Dillon, MT, in the Snowcrest Range. The WSA features diverse habitats including sagebrush foothills, grass parks, aspen and willow groves, alpine meadows, barren talus slopes, and Douglas fir and limber pine forests. Access via trail #1808 then #6069 along the East Fork to Honeymoon Park. Additional Info: Bordered north by Blacktail State Wildlife Management Area and east/south by Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest.
