Eagle Creek Overlook Group Campground

Eagle Creek Overlook Group Campground is a historic group site set on a forested bluff above the Columbia River in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s as a place to view construction of the Bonneville Dam, the site features CCC masonry and offers expansive views of the Columbia River and mountains rising from the gorge. The group site accommodates up to 90 people and approximately 40 cars including trailers. Amenities include a large covered picnic shelter, picnic tables, campfire rings, drinking water, and newly remodeled accessible flush toilets. A path from the site provides access to the Columbia River. RVs up to 40 feet are permissible. Note: Noise can be an issue due to proximity to Interstate 84 and railroad tracks. The site is open May 1 through September 30, with a 14-day stay limit. Check-in is at 2:00 p.m. and check-out at 12:00 p.m. Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Aircraft, UAS, and drone takeoffs and landings are prohibited.
