About this site

Two primitive backcountry tent sites on Dumbell Lake in Superior National Forest, accessible by boat only via the boat ramp at the southwest end of the lake. Restrooms are available. Potable water is not available. The lake is known for fishing (muskies, smallmouth bass, walleye, and other species). Dumbell is a large, 400-acre lake adjacent to Tanner and Section 8 lakes, characterized as a quiet lake with few visitors.
