Dry Lake is a popular backpacking camping spot in the San Bernardino National Forest near Mount San Gorgonio, accessible via the South Fork Trail. Overnight permits are required and must be obtained online in advance; permits may be rejected if demand is high. A separate free campfire permit is needed for camping stoves (no open campfires allowed). Camp only in designated areas.
