Douglas Dam Headwater Campground is a Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) campground located on the shores of Douglas Lake near Sevierville, Tennessee, approximately 15 minutes from I-40 east of Knoxville. The campground contains 60 campsites: 54 equipped with electric and water hookups, 2 ADA accessible sites, and 4 primitive tent sites. All entry roads are paved and campsites are graveled with most being level. The campground features three bathhouses with warm water and flush toilets, a boat ramp, swimming beach, picnic area, and dump station. Nearly all sites have a picnic table and fire pit/grill combo. The Trotter Bluff Trail, an easy 1-mile trek through a forest with chestnut trees and wildlife, is located near the campground entrance. The site is known for lake views, spacious sites, and proximity to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park attractions.
