Double Bayou Park is located along East Fork Double Bayou, about seven miles south of the town of Anahuac. It's known mostly as a launch point for small boats, but also as a site for group events. Camping is allowed by permit only, and you can get the permit for free. Additional Info: Double Bayou Park sits along the water in Chambers County, offering free primitive camping with a three-day permit limit for self-contained RVs and tent campers. Campers must contact the Chambers County Parks and Recreation office to obtain a free camping permit (valid ID required). No camping or parking under pavilions. No water, electric, or sewer provided.
