Doris Lake Recreation Site
About this site
Located near Smithers and east of Babine Mountains Provincial Park on the shores of Doris Lake sits this semi-open, forested, 4 unit campsite. The access road is a tight turn off Babine Lake road with a short and steep approach into the site as well as a challenging exit back onto Babine Lake Road, it isn't suitable for RV's/trailers. The site has a small boat launch and beach area which allows for swimming, boating and fishing. Cutthroat trout are the predominant species in the lake. The road is often busy with logging traffic, a VHF radio with Resource Road channels is recommended for travel here. Please be sure to purchase a fishing licence and consult the BC Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis for limits, special regulations and closures: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/sports-recreation-arts-and-culture/outdoor-recreation/fishing-and-hunting/freshwater-fishing/region_6_skeena.pdf Additional Info: First come, first served with no reservations. Pit toilets available. Suitable for tents and off-road ATVs, not large RVs. Cartop boat launch. 4 sites total.
