Dogtown Lake offers a scenic setting convenient to Grand Canyon National Park and the cities of Williams and Flagstaff, Arizona. The campground is situated in a pine forest along the shore of a small and scenic lake. Visitors come here to hike, fish, mountain bike and explore the area's cultural and natural history. It's also a great place to relax and enjoy the sound of the wind in the pines and the spectacular view of nearby Bill Williams Mountain. Fee info: Overnight Use: Single Site: $30 per night (up to 8 people and 1 vehicle) Double Site: $50 per night (up to 16 people and 2 vehicles) Group Site: $300 per night (up to 80 people and 20 vehicles) Additional Info: The campground is located at 7,050 feet elevation on Kaibab National Forest's Williams Ranger District, approximately 6.5 miles south and east of Williams. Named after the extensive prairie dog towns that once covered the area, the lake is stocked with rainbow trout, brown trout, bluegill, largemouth bass, and crappies. The campground offers 50 individual campsites, four double sites, and one group site accommodating up to 80 people. All sites are accessible with level pull-through and back-in options for RVs. Restrooms and garbage bins are available. A guided nature trail and hiking trail to Davenport Hill scenic overlook are nearby. Seasonal operation: generally open May through September depending on weather. Maximum stay is 14 days. No swimming allowed in the lake. Pets must be restrained or on a leash. No potable water available for the 2025 season.
