Dispersed camping area in Dog Valley, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. Accessed by vehicle via Dog Valley Road (Forest Road 002). Much of the valley floor is private property and working ranch; camp only on public BLM/USDA Forest Service lands along the rims. California OHV registration required for vehicles. Free California campfire permit required, available from Carson Ranger District.
