Dodge Reservoir Campground

Dodge Reservoir Campground is a primitive BLM campground beside a 480-acre reservoir in high desert terrain, 17 miles northeast of Ravendale, California. It offers sites with picnic tables, fire rings on some sites, and one wheelchair-accessible vault toilet. There is no potable water, trash service, showers, dump station, electric, water, or sewer hookups. Donations are welcome but camping is free. Access is via unimproved County Road 506, passable by vehicles including trailers in dry conditions but impassable when wet. The reservoir is stocked with trout for fishing, with opportunities for hiking, bird watching, horseback riding, and hunting. Cellular coverage is limited. Additional Info: Located at 5,600 feet elevation. Open year-round on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations.
