DeTour State Forest Campground
About this site
Rustic shoreline campground on Lake Huron with 21 sites for tents and small trailers, including three sites that accommodate 40-foot vehicles/trailers. Amenities include vault toilets, potable water from a hand-pump well, fire rings, and picnic tables at each site. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Located 5 miles west of DeTour Village via M-134 in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Carry-in access to Lake Huron is approximately 200 feet from the parking area. The area features scenic bays, sandy beaches, and access to state land open to hunting and fishing for walleye, bass, pike, and musky.
