Demumbers Bay Backcountry Camping
About this site
DEMUMBERS BAY CAMPING AREA Demumbers Bay is a backcountry camping area within Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. It offers primitive lakeside camping with minimal facilities, including vault toilets and trash dumpsters. The area is accessible via a paved forest road leading to a boat ramp, with multiple dispersed camping spots along the way, some right by the water and others tucked into the woods. Campers report well‑maintained stone fire rings and excellent views of the lake, making it ideal for kayaking and other small watercraft. A Backcountry Camping Permit is required for each person 18 and over when camping in designated backcountry areas; permits are available online or at Land Between the Lakes visitor centers and campgrounds.
