Backcountry camp at Redwood National and State Parks. The shaded DeMartin Backcountry Camp is a two- to three-mile hike from US 101. A backcountry permit is required for overnight camping. 10 campsites available; maximum of eight (8) people per site. Camp only in designated sites. Amenities include fire pits, grills, picnic tables, and vault/composting toilets. No treated water source or reliable natural water source available—pack in drinking water. With the exception of service animals, bicycles, horses, and/or pack animals are not allowed on trail or in camp. Additional Info: Sites are unusually spacious (except site 2, which is small) and well-separated. Each site has a picnic table, food storage locker, and fire ring. The campground is free and open year-round.
