Dead River Landing

Dead River Landing is a free camping area managed by the Northwest Florida Water Management District (NWFWMD), located approximately 16 miles south of Ponce de Leon off Highway 81 near the confluence of Seven Runs Creek and Dead River. The site offers 16 campsites available by reservation, with campsites 1-8 accommodating RVs and travel trailers, and campsites 9-16 limited to tent camping. Each campsite has a capacity of eight people and two vehicles, and includes a picnic table, charcoal grill, and fire ring. Amenities include a day-use picnic area with two pavilions, concrete boat ramp with trailer parking, portable toilets, playground, and potable water. The site is pet-friendly and offers dry camping with no electrical, water, or sewer hookups. Access is via a 2.5-mile rough but passable road.
