Dawn Redwood Group Campground

Dawn Redwood Group Campground is located within Richardson Grove State Park along the South Fork Eel River in Humboldt County, California. The campground features one group site that can accommodate between 9 and 40 people with parking for up to 10 vehicles. The site is situated among old-growth coastal redwood forest, with trees over 1,000 years old soaring to heights exceeding 300 feet. Amenities include water, toilets, showers, fire rings, and a camp store. Pets are allowed. The park provides access to extensive trail systems, including the Grove Nature Trail. Swimming is available in the Eel River during summer months when water levels are safe, and fishing opportunities exist in winter. Highway 101 runs directly through the park.
