Cottonwood Lakes Trailhead Campground is a walk-in campground with 18 sites suitable for backpackers and hikers preparing for trips into the Golden Trout Wilderness via Cottonwood Pass trail. Sites include food storage boxes, tent pads, tables, fire grates, piped water, and vault toilets. One night stay limit. Self-register at Horseshoe Meadow Campground. Additional Info: Located at the trailhead in Horseshoe Meadow Recreation Area, Inyo National Forest. First-come, first-served. Vault toilets, piped potable water, bear boxes, and trash cans available.
