Copper Creek Campground
About this site
Copper Creek Campground is located at 5,500 feet elevation in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest in southwest Montana. This intimate 2-acre campground loops around a small open meadow and offers 8 first-come, first-served campsites partially shaded by evergreens with views of nearby peaks. The campground sits along Copper Creek, less than a half mile from its confluence with Middle Fork Rock Creek, providing excellent fishing opportunities for Cutthroat Trout, Brown Trout, Brook Trout, and Whitefish. The campground serves as an ideal basecamp for exploring the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness, which covers almost 250 square miles and straddles the Continental Divide along the crest of the Anaconda Range. Additional Info: The maximum recommended trailer length is 22 feet, and stays are limited to 16 days within a 30-day period. Open annually late May through late September or hunting season, weather dependent.
