Coon Creek Yellow Post #7 is one of 19 individual yellow post campsites in San Bernardino National Forest, accessible via Forest Road 1N02 off Hwy 38 between Barton Flats and Onyx Summit. These sites are shaded by pine trees, with some near seasonal Coon Creek, and sites 17-19 near the Pacific Crest Trail in Sand to Snow National Monument. Each site offers a picnic table and fire ring, with a maximum of 8 persons and 2 vehicles. Open year-round with a 14-day camping limit. Valid California Campfire Permit required; subject to fire restrictions. No restroom facilities or drinking water. Road is dirt, not recommended for low-clearance vehicles; sites 1-10 accessible by any vehicle, larger sites fit RVs, beyond site 10 bumpy, 4WD recommended after site 15. Additional Info: Free first-come, first-served camping. No reservations.
