About this site

Comb Wash Dispersed Camping Area is a free, first-come-first-served BLM dispersed camping area located at the base of Cedar Mesa within Bears Ears National Monument, near Blanding, Utah. The campground features spectacular views of Comb Ridge and provides pleasant shade from cottonwood trees. It offers one pit toilet but no water or dump station; visitors must bring their own water and supplies. The area is known for spacious sites suitable for larger vehicles, though some spots may require off-road capability. Roads are composed of red clay dirt that can become impassable when wet. The site is popular with both tent campers and 4-wheel drive enthusiasts. Nearby attractions include excellent hiking options and Anasazi ruins. Pack in, pack out—leave no trace.
