Columbine Campground offers diverse camping opportunities in two units on the Uncompahgre Plateau. The unit on the west side of the Divide Road has several small campsites that are best for small groups and tents. The larger section on the east side of Divide Road has numerous campsites that can accomodate large RVs. Each campsite has a fire ring/grill, and some have tables. Popular activities in the area are hiking, ATV riding, horseback riding, mountain bike riding. The road is unpaved but accessible by 2WD vehicles. Additional Info: Columbine Campground is a 6-site campground specifically designed for OHV enthusiasts and serves as an ideal base camp for ATV groups and families seeking backcountry adventure. The campground is situated at Columbine Pass at approximately 9,200 feet elevation. Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and stays are limited to 14 days within a 30-day period. The campground typically operates from late spring through early fall, weather dependent, and is open while roads are accessible.
