About this site

Colton Point State Park sits on the west rim of Pine Creek Gorge, Pennsylvania's Grand Canyon, offering a rustic camping experience with stunning natural scenery. The 368-acre park features 19 primitive campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. The campground is equipped with vault toilets and water spigots but does not have a sanitary dump station, electric hookups, water hookups, sewer hookups, or showers. Pets are allowed in designated areas. The park resonates with the charm of the Civilian Conservation Corps era from the 1930s, featuring rugged overlooks with spectacular views across the canyon. The campground is open seasonally from the second Friday in April to the third Sunday in October. Additional Info: Sites include both walk-in and drive-in options. Activities include hiking, hunting, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, and water recreation on Pine Creek. The park is located in Gaines, Pennsylvania.
