Cold Lake - Kawartha Highlands
About this site
Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park (officially Kawartha Highlands Signature Site) is a semi-wilderness backcountry canoe camping destination in southern Ontario. The park features over 100 campsites accessible exclusively by canoe across six well-defined canoe routes with marked portages. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring, and box privy, with most having at least three tent pads. The park is situated along the southern edge of the Canadian Shield with a rugged rolling landscape of small lakes, wetlands, forests, and rocky barrens. Reservations are available online or by phone up to five months in advance. Interior camping permits are required and can be printed at home within 14 days of arrival or obtained in-person at the park office in Bancroft.
